Why I Love My Wheelchair

And feel sorry for people who fear having to use them

People have said to me: “I would rather be dead than have to use a wheelchair.” Perhaps the thought of saying this to someone actually in a wheelchair makes you gasp (which it should, by the way!), but my first response is to feel sorry for the person. It is so sad to be that fearful of wheelchairs that you would rather be dead than use one.
